Today we received a cheque donation from Laura and Adrian McHale in memory of their son AJ , who had trisomy 18 AJ died 7 years ago and his anniversary was the 17th June. AJ lived for 17 days and in his memory for his 7th anniversary Adrian ran 17km a day for 17 days and Laura walked 7km a day for 17 days. They raised over €20,000 in total and are very generously donating the funds to our maternity department, a charity called “Soft” and a charity called “First Light”.
