What’s it all about
The Concept - The Hazelwood Haunting will take place during the Halloween holiday. It will be run over two nights in Hazelwood Forest. We will bring the dark of the woods to light and play on people’s fears through a spectacular creation of visual and sound effects. We will have zombies, spiders, water monsters, Dracula, spooky trees, scream mania, grave yards and much, much more. The Hazelwood Haunting is a spooky spectacular family fun event. Imagine the beauty of the forest by night and now imagine the forest brought to life by the unknown. The uncertainty of not knowing. Having to process sounds and visual effects that you are unsure about. Having your inner fears exposed in a safe and friendly environment.
How will it work
- We will be using the small loop off the car park. The loop is about 1400m around. Along the loop there would be eight separate locations where a different Halloween theme/scare will take place. Groups of 10-15 people would be guided around the loop by a steward. The steward will be the only person allowed a flash light.
- This is a family fun event and is completely new to Sligo.
- Parental guidance is advisable as the recommend age is 8 years
- This will be a ticket only event.
- The ticket will be sold online starting on the 19th of September. As this is the first year of the event the tickets will be limited, so it is on a first come first served basis.
- They will also be on sale in the Foyer of the Hospital on Wednesday 20th September from 10a.m.
- Tickets on sale Friday 29th September at 4.45pm at €7 ( plus small administration fee)
- Tickets will also be on sale in Johnston Court Shopping Centre this Saturday 7th October from 10a.m. – 6p.m.
